    Tried signing in today for online play. Says I need to purchase Gold Membership, even though my status is paid thru '19.

    Checked Xbox Live status, but although it states there is a small service issue affecting 'some' customers, it also states that Online gaming is okay (green check) as well as all other services.

    I beg to differ. It appears others on other forums are having same Gold related issues.

    You need to do better at communicating current issues, ETA's, and possibly credits for time not available.

    If that is the case who gets to use their gold account on other machines? They've clearly said that. Just like now, your live subscription follows you to whatever Xbox console you use. So who on that original console can take their account to another console?

    I have the same problem. I just wanted to play with my friends and this add shows up saying I need to subscribe to Gold but I'm already subscribed... My membership finishes in December.

    I literally bought this xbox one 2 days ago and added 3 months of live. After numerous hours of downloading (only got fortnite downloaded) i played with friends yesterday. Now it says this today. I’ve reset my wifi, unplugged the router, restarted my xbox,
    removed then re-added my account... still nothing. Now ive been waiting for 30 minutes with customer support BS. Someone help! Xbox, fix your **** services, it seems like y’all have had a consistent problem with servers for the past few months, possibly years
    from what i’ve read online.

    Just got off messenger with microsoft support. He had to do some troublshooting on his end to see my account info, but here was the final response that worked.

    “Alright! So I've already troubleshot your subscription here, so now here's how you can power cycle your console:

    Press the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds until it powers off and then remove the cables from the back of your console and then wait for another 30 seconds to plug them back in. And then turn the console on by pressing the Xbox button on the
    console or on your controller.”

    so just contact customer support so they can verify your info and follow those steps!

    Solution found! Quick and easy, just contact customer support, they have to check your account out and do some diagnostics. Then you’ll have to turn off the system, unplug the wires for 30 seconds and turn back on. Then it should work!

    Yes, alert is for Xbox live service....it does not mention Gold subscriber status/issues. Down the list it shows online gaming is 'okay'. The point is, their response is vague and not clear to what is actually affected and/or down.

    You have all your right to communicate your dissatisfaction but we know as much about this as you, we know about the problem in the service, but not the cause, or details about it, otherwise we would communicate it.
