XBOX GOLD CODE DOESNT WORK

I got a gold member ship code not to long ago and my gold member ship expires next week and everytime i try to put in my 12 month member ship code in it wont redeem it it will give a error code. It will also say that "something went wrong please try again
later" i tried two days later and it still wont work. Explain please.

Hi there,

if your previous subscription was one that was a special offer then it will have to end first before you can redeem a new subscription.

So it may be best thing for now is to wait until the current subscription expires and try again at that time

Make sure your subscription is current. If it is try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

If that doesn't help contact support directly for assistance. Contact Us | Xbox Support

If it is the 14day trial not all features of xbox live work with it ans it doesnt change you to gold just basic multiplayer options and it doesnt work with all games

Nothing with Xbox Live is working. His Xbox Gold doesnt go out for the next 7 days but I cant even add another Xbox Live Gold card

Which country are you physically located in on our
Officially Supported Xbox Live Countries and Regions list and which country/region do you have your account set to?

To clarify, if you're not connecting from a region on this list, or there is a mismatch between your account and region you're connecting from. It could mean that some features may not work properly.

If you are in a region on the list and your account is matching, what error message or error code are you seeing on the Xbox One console?
