    I got an Xbox Live Gold membership from a store yesterday and every time I type the code in it says,"there was a problem on our side, waiting a bit might help." It's been a full day and the card still isn't working.

    XBOX Live Gift Cards

    There’s Xbox gift cards, which can be spent on anything in the store, and then there are Xbox Live subscription cards. If you bought a card specifically for Gold, then it’s just for that. I would go back to the store and exchange it for Xbox gift cards.

    I am having the same problem. Got my xbox gold from gamesdeal.com. Code is good, verified it with microsoft. Have you had any luck with this issue?

    you can't pay for Xbox Live Gold with a Microsoft balance, the only way to pay for it is by credit card, paypal, and a actual Xbox Gold Gift Card that is only for Gold Subscription
