XBOX Gold but free game now says I don't own it

I recently became a gold member and downloaded one of the free games on offer at the time, powerstar golf, which worked unlocked at the time, but when I went back today to use it again, its now locked again it says I have to purchase it to unlock. Could
you see why this happened as I'm a gold member for 12 months?

Dojiultimo, Problem with Worms Battlegrounds

I bought the game back in december when it was free for gold, but now it says i no longer own it, is there any way i can regain ownership of it?

 

I have gold membership but I can't play multiplayer online

I had my free membership of Xbox live gold 2 days ago and now when I want to start a party or play multiplayer online it says that I don't have gold membership but the expiration date says my membership will end by 10\20\2016 and I can download my gold
free games but when I want to start a party or play multiplayer online it says that I don't have gold membership and my internet connection is good so what should I do know

 

Powerstar Golf is not really a free game.

You can download it & play a very limited amount of holes for free but you need to pay for the full thing,all the courses,chatacters etc.

 

This is true Daft. However, if I remember correctly I believe that people in Australia did get the full game for free back in last November.

OP, if you do not live in Australia that offer was not available for you and what Daft Badger has stated is correct.

I live in the UK and its was also offered free here as well if you joined up to Gold, in fact I did have it free for a couple of days and played some of the 'locked' courses, then suddenly its locked again.

I'm in the U.K. as well & what I posted above is still true,it was just a promo to get you to buy the whole game.It's never really been a free game.

It was shown a free game on the 'gold offers' section along with a couple of other games, and when I selected it, ot was unlocked, I had all the courses available and played a few of the unlocked holes and earned points for some of them, its now gone from
the gold store, and so has the unlock it seems :-(

 

I've looked online and the only place that it showed as part of the Games With Gold program was in Australia. Perhaps it was a free trial in the UK at the time you played.

As for the extra courses, those had to be downloaded as separate DLC. If you cannot find those in your download history then I don't know what to say.

Well its was definitely in the games with gold last week, that's where I got the unlock code from and played the full game, until a couple of days later when it disappeared from the store along with the unlock :-(

 

Games with gold last week/month were The Deer God & Tomb Raider,think you're getting confused.

You can download PowerStar Golf for free & get a limited trial of a few holes but the full game has never been free in the U.K.

Its was definitely on the games for gold section, it was listed when I looked with The deer God. Weirdly enough, its working again tonight, just played several holes on one of the previously locked courses, hope it keeps that way
