    So xbox released the new gold badges for every one who is a xbox gold or game pass member. I see my friends badges have changed and when my friend looks at my profile it's change, when I look at it my own profile it still the old gold badge.

    The 5 is your tenure. It's how long you've had a Gold subscription. The Gold badge is a new badge to commemorate Xbox Gold which just recently ended.

    The Ambassador badge and the recently given Gold badge (for commemorating the end of Gold) are the only badges for regular users. All other badges are only for employees.

    XBOX ambassador

    XBOX MVP

    Only people who were MVP's before they shut down the MVP program can have that badge,no one else can get it now.You also get a tenure badge that show's how long you've had a Xbox gold subscription.

    Other than that the other badges are for certain people that work for Xbox.
