    Hi

    At Xmas I purchased an xbox for my son. I created an account for him but had to create an account for myself and set up a family due to his age. We also purchased 12 months of gold. I think we used the gold card when on my sons account. We recently decided to purchase ultimate, but it doesn't allow my son to purchase it, I have to do it on mine. Given that the gold is on my sons account this means we are paying the full cost for ultimate rather than have the gold offset against the cost. Is there anyway I can move the gold to my account or allow my sons account to purchase ultimate so we can benefit from the reduced cost? Thanks

    Xbox Gamepass Ultimate Does not Include Live Gold

    Ultimate includes Gold. If you did have Gold on your account, it would convert any remaining Gold into Ultimate as well.

    Doh - yes - thanks, Farscape - to clarify for Xbox 360 - each gamer needs an Xbox Live (aka Gold) Account (which is included in a Game Pass Ultimate account) to play online but a Silver/Free account can play games locally using the digital content (games)
    from the Gold/Ultimate account as above.

    Yes. Since Ultimate includes gold, the gold you already had on your account was upgraded to Ultimate.

    When you upgrade to Ultimate, it converts any gold you had on your account to an Ultimate subscription which basically cancels your just gold subscription since Ultimate includes gold. So by cancelling Ultimate you then cancel your gold subscription as
    well.
