    just bought Xbox one and used code for free xbox gold but it wont let me play gta online any ideas?

    Error: The current profile is not allowed to play on xbox live.

    the gold membership is free for one month but it says i cant do it so i cant play online on gta

    Your profile does not have the necessary permissions to access the features of Xbox LIVE

    Like others have said. To play GTA Online you NEED Xbox Live Gold Membership, as Xbox Live Silver Membership is not supported. You will need to go and buy a Xbox Live Gold subscription to be able to play GTA Online.

    Sounds like you are using a 14 day trial.

    Some games will not let you play online with a trial,you would need a full gold membership.

    Trials only give you limited access to some xbox live gold features.

    GTA V online only or can be played offline?

    Story is played offline you have to have xbox live gold and internet to play the GTA online mode.
