Xbox gold 2 day trail not working

I bought the Xbox game madden 16 and inside was the Xbox 2 day trial and when I type it in it says "This code isn't valid. Please enter a valid code." And I know it's valid because it came with the game and I typed it in correctly if you have any anwsers

Some people are playing online without buying a xbox live membership

2 day trails do not change your account status to gold. So it's completely normal to see people play online who look like they don't have a gold subscription.

2 day trails do not change your account status to gold. So it's completely normal to see people play online who look like they don't have a gold subscription.

I'm hearing a lot of people getting this error popping up recently. I would either try redeeming the code on Xbox.com or the Console itself. If that doesn't work try contact Xbox at 1-800-4MY-XBOX they should be able to fix your situation
