    Xbox going back to home screen, but game isn't crashing

    I have this problem every once in awhile, maybe once a week, but what happens is I am playing a game as usual on my Xbox One, and then boom out of nowhere the system goes to the home screen. It is as if you pressed the home screen button (the white one that
    lights up, I think its called that right?), except I am definitely not pressing it when this happens. The game continues to run in the background, and I can press A in that little minimized window to get back to it. This is frustrating though since when it
    does this it isn't pausing the game, so if I'm online it screws up my playing.

    Things I've tried:

    1. Tried a different controller. I also tried a different controller plugged in with the USB cable, thinking maybe the battery component on the controller was broken/breaking or something

    2. Hard reset the xbox. This seems to work for awhile, but then the problem comes back a week later

    3. Just last night I updated the firmware on both controllers I have. I am hoping this helps end this, wondering if anyone else has tried this as well and had good results.

    Other than that, my xbox itself is up to date. It seems to do this mostly in FIFA 15, although it has happened in Forza as well just not as much. Finally the only other game I have is NHL 15, it hasn't done it in that but I don't play it that often.

    Any suggestions would be great this is frustrating to deal with.

    Do you have a Kinect? It could be picking up a gesture or voice command when this happens

    I don't know if it will help in this case, but with many issues, turning the console off by holding the logo on the front of the console until it shuts down and unplugging it for 5 minutes seems to help.

    have the same issue i sent it to Microsoft twice and they still haven't fixed it. i got my xbox one back a week ago and its already backing out on me again its beyond frustrating and idk what to do about it.

    Xbox one crashing to home screen only on bf5.

    Have you tried reinstalling the game and doing the power reset function on the xbox? Normally helps if the game is crashing on the black screen or going straight back too the home screen.

    Launching games kicks me back to home screen problem.

    I have the same problem:

    DR3 - either crashes to home screen, or gets stuck at "Loading"

    AC4 - either crashes to home screen, or gets stuck loading the save game

    KI- crashes to home

    COD- Goes into a loop going back to the splash screen after showing the menu for a second or two

    These are all digital download games. I'm on my 2nd replacement xbox and support hasn't been able to help me at all.

    I have a disc copy and it keeps crashing in the cliffside village and I am at 25% completed. It crashes back to the home screen after the plane crashes and when the pilot gets attacked , you then jump the gap and go down the short stairs, about halfway down
