    Xbox Goes To A Permanent Black Screen When Watching Videos


    When ever I boot up Netflix or try to watch a video on The Halo Channel the Xbox goes into a permanent black screen until I hard reset the console. When the Xbox is in the black screen mode, I can still hear things being selected when I press buttons and
    move the thumb sticks around, so the console has not crashed. Seems to be some sort of resolution issue. It works fine when directly connected to my TV via HDMI, however when I route the HDMI cable threw my HD PVR 2 I get this black screen. I have been recording
    game play and its a hassle to get up and unplug/replug cables when I am done playing a game and want to watch a movie.

    Any help/suggestions would be great!

    Gameplay problems

    My Xbox one has no problem playing movies or watching videos or even in a lobby my screen is great but when it goes into gameplay my screen flickers for instance fortnite is a great game but my screen gets full of black squares until my screen is completely
    full of them and all I see is black on my tv please help

    When I boot up this game it either goes from black screen to my home screen or it plays the videos really slow/laggy

    Is there an fix for this?

    Xbox Series X Turned off and on by itself

    Only on YouTube. Randomly when watching videos. Black screen for a while, and the booting screen shows up.

    I did a hard reset on my xbox one and got the green loading screen and then when it is finished loading it goes directly to a black screen. It is not a display issue. I also tried the holding down the multiple buttons (waited for second beep etc.)
    on the xbox and it hasn't worked either... still the same black screen

    Not at all happy with Xbox

    At least you can play your Xbox,. I moved mine in to the lounge to watch Netflix with some mates and now when I turn it on it stays on the green screen for about 10-15 Seconds then goes to a black screen for couple seconds then repeats

    nope, my TV shows he startup screen, and then goes black until I press the volume buttons, but when I press the buttons the video works fine

    I have the same problem. It's happened quite a few times.

    Series X and Lg CX.

    Watching Netflix, the screen goes black. I still see the Netflix interface and if I back out of the video, I get back to the Netflix selection screen. Pressing the home button takes me back to the Xbox dash board. Going back into the video, it plays for 2 seconds, and then black screen again. At first I thought it was Dolby Vision, so I disabled that, and still black screen. Changed it from 120hz to 60hz, black screen. I ended up closing the Netflix app from the Xbox Dashboard and it seems to be working fine now.

    I'm pretty tech savvy, so I can troubleshoot, but for someone that isn't, this is horrible. Especially after paying money for this thing. It should just "work"
