Xbox goes idle while I'm streaming live programs on NBCSN

I just started using the NBCSN app for live sports after cutting cable and while I'm watching my game the screen will dim the same way if I have a game paused. Is there a way to turn this off for streaming live off the app? I've only seen a closed captions
option on the app and theres nothing else besides pushing the idle time out to 60 minutes and when I did that it just turned itself off when it hit that point.

On settings/ power ull found dont tern off console on app

Or in same app settings I think there a setting to don't let the console sleep / idle

Settings > Power and Startup > Power mode and startup >

Make sure Turn off after is set to: Don't turn off automatically.

Then under Settings > Preferences > Idle Options

Set to Dim screen after 60 minutes.

It should help a bit.

Did you have an Xbox 360, pkvas? The screen never dimmed while watching movies of any sort (Dvd, Netflix, Streaming media from PC..etc). It's only when idle and no action at all that it goes dim. If the 360 has the feature, why not carry that over to
the Xbox One. It's a pretty big deal for a lot of people. You might not understand it completely, but it is.

Go to settings, select preferences, and hit idle options. Now, uncheck “Show me things when idle.” This should get rid of the idle problem.

This will fix the current issue, but removes the idle screen. This sounds like a bug as it is not intended to idle while watching a disc based movie (or streaming content either).

Ensure you have the latest version of the bluray app from the store. If that doesn't fix it, the work around M3tal Daz3 suggested will work, but it not a permanent fix as it removes the Idle option from the console.
