Xbox goes dark when watching movies

Holding the power button and unplugging the console for 30 seconds has worked so far. NOT happy with Xbox as this has been an issue for three years according to users. They keeping coming out with so called fixes but it just makes it worse.

Its a known bug that generally affects Blu-rays and a few streaming services and is related to the screen saver feature on your Xbox. From my experience, it will persist across resets. The quickest fix is to go to your settings, Then go to preferences,
then go to Idle options. Scroll over to the Dim screen settings and set it to the maximum of 60 minutes to give you the longest amount of time without interruption. Hopefully the next update can give us a disable Dimming Option.

Since the problem persists, try doing a
soft factory reset of the console,
Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

Try this out and let us know the results.
