    Xbox giving me 0x8b050033 error, saying I don't own games that I do.


    Unable to play games that I were playing yesterday. Getting 0x8b050033 error, ive tried literally everything other than the nuclear option of a factory reset, including a console reset, offline updates, deleting profiles and signing in etc.

    I only have 3 games installed at the moment, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Deep Rock Galactic, and pre-installed CoD:BOCW. When I look at my purchse history it says I've never purchased MW or DRG. I have my e-receipts to confirm I do.

    Bit of a mess, can't speak to anyone on the phone about it or 24h web chat as apparently this kind of issue doesnt warrant basic level customer service.

    Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I understand the game issues you are facing and very sorry about the customer Live support situation as well; However, we have multiple detailed troubleshooting steps for this matter on the official Xbox
    website to help you take care of it. Before going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned on the link I was referring to, I would like you to go through the following steps to clear your Mac address:

    Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

    In case the issue still persists after the previous steps have been performed here is the official link to all the troubleshooting steps that can help sort this out. By the way it would be better to follow the steps provided on the website in the order they
    were given if you haven't already done that. Please consider checking the link below, and I hope this helps you out.

From there, locate the completed game purchase or the redeemed code and click on the image. It will direct you to the next page. On that next page, please get the URL or the link so I can check the version of the game you've purchased.

    If the purchase is not showing under your account, the purchase may be on a different account. If you have used a card to purchase the game, here are a few steps to help resolve the issue:

    1. Ask your household members if they have them on their account. If there's none, proceed below to investigate.

    2. Sign in to your account at https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments

    3. Under "Don't recognize a charge on your bank statement?", click Investigate. (Please refer to the attached screenshot for guidance.)

    4. A pop-up window will appear on the right pane. Select the card where the charge is occurring. If the card is not listed, you can add the card where the charge is coming from. This will display all transactions made with this payment method, including those from another user on their own account. Locate and click on the transaction that matches the amount on your card to view more details.
