    Sometimes when I turn on my xbox one I get an error message about not being able to sign in. It goes to the main menu / home screen, but when ever I click anything I get the same error message. Even if I select REPORT A PROBLEM it just brings up the same
    error message.

    The only way to fix this is to hold the power button down on the xbox until it shuts off, then turn it back on again. It does this every so often, and it's quite the annoyance. I am hoping this doesn't foreshadow future issues.

    Anyone else have this problem? Any fix for it?

    Game Crash to Home Regardless of Game

    Way too often recently, no matter what game I start, it crashes to the home screen and will not start. The only way to fix this is a hard power cycle (Holding the power button until shut off - I use instant on mode so a simple tap won't do) rather than
    turning off via the OS. I feel this has to be a bug that needs squashed. Hope this report helps.

    Yesterday, I got this message that I had never seen before. I turned my XB1 on, and when I selected the game I wanted to play, I got the following error message:

    Give it another try. Not sure what happened there. (0x80070005)

    No matter what game I select, I get the same error message. Rebooting does not fix the problem. Also, if I eject the game disc, the Xbox shuts down. I googled it and found an Xbox help page that suggested that I remove my profile, restart the Xbox, and then
    add my profile again. That does solve the problem. However, now it happens every single time I turn my Xbox on. I shouldn't have to delete and re-add my profile every single time I want to play. Any one know what's causing this? Is there a permanent fix?

    Also what WPAK said didn’t work because it is the way I shut down the xbox when it does the infinite off glitch and I have to do it no matter what.

    What Exactly does the message say? Does it give an error code?

    Have you tried a normal Hard restart? Holding the power button for 10 seconds and letting it fully shut down before booting it back up? Also making sure you have Xbox Gold?

    Is it giving some sort of error or is it just shutting down? If it's shutting down. Delete/hard reset/reinstall usually works for me.

    That's a great fix but if you don't mind, I can help you stream line it a little.

    Essentially what you did was what we call a hard reset, and there is a much faster way to do it. All you have to do and hold your finger on the power sensor on the front of the xbox for 10 secs, let it go, let it sit for 10 secs, and then turn it back on.
    The idea is to shut the system down completely so it runs the system maintenance that the console needs when you turn it back on, which it only does in the event of a complete shut down. All the power cycling is one way to do it as well, but I've found this
    is the easiest way if your controllers are coming on, with or without the adaptor, and the light is still solid but the controller is unresponsive.

    If this happens again, Gods forbid, give this a shot and see if it works for you.
