Xbox gift card not activated

My xbox gift card will not work it says it is not yet active

Xbox support team. The support team will investigate the gift card and provide more options. Be sure to let us know the results!

It would have to be done at the store or you would have to call the 800 number that should be on the gift card or the receipt to talk to someone about activating the card. Gift cards are sold by third-party retailers and Microsoft has no power to activate them

I was gifted 2 $25 xbox gift cards for xmas but only 1 card was activated by the merchant. receipt is lost unfortunately and over the phone/virtual chat has not helped. anyone had a solution for this?

Activation occurs at the point of sale so the only ones who can activate the card is the retailer it was purchased from.

Unfortunately they are very unlikely to do so without the reciept.
