Xbox Gift Card doesn't work / lack of support

My son buys a gift card, has a confirmation that its been activated from the retailer, gets home doesn't work. Follow the steps contact help support send pictures and upload screen shots of receipts and card multiple times. All we get is another request
for more pictures and emails. After the third attempt, we get a please put in another requests email ( start from scratch )

Lack of customer experience making me re think my choices.

What error is it giving you when you try to redeem it? If you purchased it from a retailer and it is having issues, then you're likely going to have to reach out to them for resolution. Once it's been printed and provisioned by Microsoft, if something
happens to it in the supply chain, that wouldn't have anything to do with Microsoft.

Contact surport they will be able to tell you whether code is valid or not

Keep trying for a few more days. If that foesnt work I would recommend contacting microsoft support or see if you could take the catd back to where you purchased it, to refund it or swap the card out for a new one.

Recently Microsoft Stores has been having issues with gift card redemptions and have addressed this on Twitter.

For now, just keep trying your gift card to see when it is fixed. If the error message changes, or the gift card isn't redeemed in the next few days, then I advise you to contact suppott directly.

Thanks for all the replies from everyone! Now my MasterCard gift card works! Strange that the same gift card wasn't accepted before with a random address (which I used since it's not 'my' card) but it does work now with my actual address. Good news for
anyone else who doesn't want to risk bank card or paypal info. Stranger still that official Microsoft and xbox support reps I spoke to already couldn't figure this out, and both told me my gift card wouldn't work or I had to do something else. I'll come here
first next time. You guys and girls are awesome!
