Xbox Gift card code not working

yes, gift cards work on the xbox. He'll buy the gift card and redeem the code on his xbox account.

What kind of gift card is it? I've never heard of non MS gift cards for xbox. You can always try inputting the code and see if it works.

Gift card not working for gold… Only Paypal / Debit or credit card or prepaid card its written in the general conditions of use of that service.

Thanks but i wasnt talking about an Xbox Gift Card but a Microsoft (Store) Gift Card (Microsoft Currency) since it is directly Microsoft shouldnt it work on promo-code for Dev mode payment ?
