because it does not state that you are in violation of the rules if you input the wrong region when actually setting your region

I think you need to do some studying on broadcasting laws and digital licensing. Those apps are not on the UK Xbox LIVE because the media companies that provide those services do not have a presence or even an operational office
in the UK. If you Hulu set up a base in the UK, then their service would likely be on Xbox LIVE in the UK. If you want to blame anyone, blame those companies for not operating in the UK. This has nothing to do with Microsoft.

In any case, changing your locale will not make those services work. As soon as you try to use them the system will pick up that you are not in the United States and prevent your access.

This is because as yet, Microsoft have not finalised how the One Guide will work with providers in other countries. Microsoft can't just make the One Guide work with Virgin Media, Virgin actually have to allow it work.

It's not a technical issue. It's an issue with getting your local tv service to provide listing data.

 

@obsessive power i am not bothered about the apps i was just merely pointing out they was there, and i am aware of the geographical side of things so studying was not necessary

and has for not finalised how the one guide will work its a case of no shitte Sherlock

its a case of they led us to believe this was gonna be a big part from day one

they should of stated it was a geographical thing regarding the Tv side of it before they sold the bleeding thing

 

The March Update is giving 50Hz (no stutter in Britain), and OneGuide UK is due this year. Stop moaning.
