    Why is my Xbox One fan running sometimes while turned off? I use a dust cover when not in use so I'm concerned because it gets hot occasionally while off. I don't allow automatic updates while off. Is there some other setting I can adjust? No other problems

    Two options. Either hold the power button doen when turning it off until the screen turns black, which will hard reset the console, or go to Settings>Power & Startup> Power Mode and set it to Energy Saving.

    I think it has to do with how hot the xbox gets while playing games. Just keep your power mode on energy saving insta on is pointless and sometimes the fan stays on even powered off. Just feel how hot it gets while ur playing

    So I've kept a White House fan running on and blowing towards the Xbox and the problem has disappeared but when I take the fan off the problem continues so I think it's getting to hot but the Xbox isn't telling me that it's a heat problem

    Doesnt matter if its wired or not. Got the store to open and while downloading a game it shut down. Took it all apart and the fan is running on the board. The xbox was in a cold room. Never got hot. No codes. Just shuts off

    This can be the fan showing age, Can you make sure the console isn't hot or warm while running and if it gets really bad I would suggest a repair.
