    Xbox gets stuck in 480p


    So my xbox 1 works just fine with my LG smart tv but every now and then my xbox gets stuck in 480p and my eyesight is bad and I can't read anything when it's at 480p. It usually runs 4k but I can't figure out how to get it back. Any suggestions?

    You should 100% check the Display settings and the HDMI cable.

    Hiya!

    Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to assist. I recommend going into the settings on the Xbox One console. Once in settings go to video options. From there get to video fidelity and switch it to HDMI. It should then allow you to manually check the resolution
    that your TV supports. I hope this helps answer your question.

    I have the same issue. Stuck in 480p. I tried everything suggested in this conversation including other tvs still stuck. I think my hdmi out port must have gone bad.
