Xbox Gaming Services will not update, install, reinstall. Took all my games with it.

Hi,

None of my games from microsoft will launch, and reinstall attempts redirect to "update gaming services". Gaming services itself will not install. I have tried manually uninstalling/'reinstalling gaming services via power shell, deleting the registry and rebooting. No dice. Gaming services is stuck for hours on "pending" in the updates. When it finally does install, windows cannot find it. Windows is on latest version.

This seems to be a known issue for years now going by both internet searches and reviews within the microsoft store, blocking thousands of people from accessing millions of dollars worth of games, with no fix in sight and no communication from microsoft. I don't expect a real response here in the forums, but it's worth noting this is more than sufficient grounds to block the activision / microsoft merger on grounds of technical incompetence and direct consumer harm via migrating to an utterly broken platform. I have already reached out to the US FTC stating as much, and I hope this issue costs you billions.

Oh, I'm sorry for the inconvenience however this usually be fixed by running SFC which will automatically detect the cause and fix it however if it didn't work, this means the issue is on the OS files.

Oh, I see. This means the issue is on the OS. The last resort is to format your PC. This will make your system good as new however you'll be needing to reinstall all your files.

No. The issue is microsoft's awful platform. This is a known issue that can be found on many forums around the internet as well on the reviews for Microsoft's supposed "service". Full reinstalls of windows did not fix their issues and it will not fix mine. Wiping all my data for a reinstall is insane. You are either a bot or a human acting like a bot and providing equally useless suggestions.
