I like your new initiative for being able to play across platforms. I'm a PC user and I'm not buying an XBox, so I'm happy that I get to play the console games on my PC now. Only two things keep this from being perfect. First, I want to be able to play
older XBox games like the Halo series, etc... so working on getting the backlog PC compatible or coming up with an emulator is essential. Second, I won't buy games from your storefront. You won't entice me with sales, you won't interest me in a platform where
I can't mod my game, etc.. Put the games on other services, especially Steam, or this is a non starter and I won't be purchasing any of the games on PC either. Thank you.

    :)

  2. Can the Windows Store verify an existing installation of game(s) downloaded previously or from files from another computer? Similar to Steam et al

    Hi there Nor,

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, you will need to click the install to download any digital content for PC.

If you have a Windows 10 device, you can now use the Xbox app to connect to the Xbox Live service.

If you’re having problems installing the Games for Windows Live app, or connecting to the Xbox Live service, see

    Xbox gaming on Windows 10

I too would appreciate Xbox games appearing on Steam. Steam is a much more reasonably priced way to purchase digital versions of my favourite games, especially during the Steam sales. I much prefer digital versions as disc based games have always in the
past gotten scratched or smudged beyond being able to be played despite always putting it carefully back in the case.

Another benefit I find of having the digital version of the game is if I am playing one game, and I receive an invite for a different game, I am able to simply accept and the second game will load without having to scramble about my room searching for the
    game my friend is playing.

But the digital games from the Xbox store are so very expensive. It takes so long for games to come down in price from the £50 or more it costs for new releases. This is especially expensive when you end up buying the same game multiple times on different
    Xbox's.

For example: My first encounter with Xbox One was on my Stepdad's console, I wanted to play COD: Black Ops III so bad. I only had my Xbox 360 Elite that I bought new in 2009 and after discussion about the engine only managing a frame-rate of 30fps on 360,
lack of campaign and split-screen altogether, Not having Theater mode, absence of weapon paint shop and being unable to buy the Season Pass for DLC. I was advised to play BOIII on at least Xbox One if not PC.

As for the pricing, I would have been considerably better off buying BOIII for PC as in the Steam sale (which is available as I type this) the Digital Deluxe edition of the game is £52.49 reduced from just under £70. The Xbox Store prices it at $99.99 today
and I think I paid £70 or £80 not so long ago. So the prices are similar at RRP but the Steam sales bring them to a much more affordable price long before the price drops in the Xbox store once a certain game becomes old enough (or however it is decided to
    lower the price).

But I bought it for my Stepdad's Xbox One so I could try all the new features, decided I liked this new Xbox a lot more than my old 360 so I went out and bought one. I wanted my own console and version of the game as on my Main Gamertag, on my 360 I have
been collecting various digital COD titles and live in the hope that they will all eventually become backwards compatible.

So now I have paid full price for the same game, twice, and it now looks as if I will have to pay for it again to play it on PC as well, as "Microsoft's new Xbox Play Anywhere scheme lets fans to buy a game once and play it on both the Xbox One and your
Windows 10 PC." does not seem to apply to Call of Duty games. Which is a massive let down!

I buy a game not once, but twice, and will still have to pay for it a third time to play it with superior graphics and frame-rate on PC.

Well this time I AM going to use the Steam sale to my advantage and buy the cheaper Digital Deluxe edition.

Project Spark getting axed and giving refunds

getting ready for e3, it will be all windows 10 xbox games and windows 10 this and windows 10 that, as the xbox is now windows 10 they will just focus on anything and everything for windows 10, from this summer there probably won't be a single game that
is exclusive to the console, it will be all windows 10 only, but that also means the pc games will either go up in price or the xbox games will drop to the same level as pc, and why will pc be able to use xbox live for free yet xbox users have to pay. we will
see whats in store if it fails e3 then i may just give it up.
