Xbox gameshare doesn’t work

Let me explain it to you.

1. No matter what console a profile is signed into it will always be able to play its digital games and use any of its subscriptions.

2. Each profile can set ONE console at a time as its home console and any other profile on that console can then Play/share its digitally bought games and use any of its subscriptions.

3. Each profile can switch which console it has set as its home console FIVE times a year after the fifth time they will have to wait ONE year from the date of the first switch.

With that being said IF you are trying to play your friends games on your console you would have to sign in with his account on your console and set your console as his profiles home console and keep your console as his home console if you want to continue
to play his games.

If you sign in with his profile on your console and make your console his profiles home console and then he goes and switches to make his console his home console again you would lose the ability to play his games and would give you an error message of something
like "Do you own this game or app If so sign in with the account that purchased the game."

If you are getting the message when you sign in with his account and try to make your console his home console that you have reached the FIVE times and need to wait then your friend can try and contact xbox support by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us
and if his account is eligible they would be the ones to reset that counter for him.

The same would go for if you are trying to set your console as your profiles home console and it gives you that FIVE time message.

Another thing that you want to keep in mind is that giving your account information out to someone else is a violation of the code of conduct and could get your account suspended here is a quote from the code of conduct and the website that you can read
the code of conduct.

• Lend, transfer, sell, or otherwise provide third parties access to your accounts or Gamertags
• Access or attempt to access accounts that you do not own

I have highlighted and Bolded the part about giving your account info to a third party.

Home console/Game sharing was meant so that people in the same household could didnt have to purchase the games multiple times not sharing with your friends down the block.

make sure you set his account as your home xbox otherwise the gamesharing won't work if you have set it correctly it might be that he bought the disc version of the game and then gamesharing doesn't work

I believe when it comes to destiny 2 gamesharing wont work as its linked to the account it first launches on

Gamesharing does work on Destiny 2. It's only the preorder bonuses that do not work with the gamesharing as they are for the person that preorders/bought the game.

Have you tried to restart the xbox and see if the gamesharing works then

I'm not asking anyone to gameshare with me, I am asking if two of my friends can gameshare with me

You can only with one ( gameshare only works between 2 consoles)
