    Xbox Games still not downloading or updating (installation stopped error) help


    I tried advice someone gave on this sub, to reset my console besides games and apps

    I did so, logged back in and set the Xbox back up, still nothing

    My “Microsoft store” app updated quickly and with 0 issues but Forza Horizon 4 is stuck at .1% (58+gb total)

    It keeps saying installation stopped and when I resume it it just says it again after a minute or two with absolutely no progress in the download

    Other games also update/download just fine

    Any advice?

    Thank you for keeping us updated. We're happy to hear that the offline system update resolved the system update issue. The reason that the games are not able to download may be attributed to your network. Does an error message or error code appear when
    you test the network and multiplayer connections in the network settings? We have a support article which provides troubleshooting steps

    for game installations that stop at or near 0%    . Be sure to let us know the results!

    This didn't help install the 9GB of base game, it still stops at 5.9GB, if you need more detail, this is a copy that I had gotten in some time 2019. The base game is having an issue with installation, it stops at 5.9GB, everything else is installing at this point. When I download the game, I tried updating and installing, and updating later, no matter what the game stops installing at 5.9GB, I can also hear the disc stop spinning as soon as it gets to that point. It says "installation stopped" and when I try to keep it installing, it doesn't do anything, it seems to be an issue with either my Xbox or the base game itself. It also seems to be just modern warfare that is having this problem, vanguard and Cold war work fine, it's just the base 9.18GB base game that stops.

    I've just done that and still no change. I tried to download an update for a game I installed from a disc and it still came up with an immediate installation stopped.
