    I tried to start a game from one of the game pass games, but it would not start. Say i must be signed in. I am signed in to my Microsoft account. I checked my account for game pass and it showed paid. No game from it will work.

    XBOX SAYING MY ACCOUNT IS NOT ACTIVE.

    When a Windows Live ID is not used for a long period of time, it is deleted. Problem is, an Xbox LIVE gamertag linked to the deleted Windows Live ID still thinks it is linked to a Windows Live ID. Even if a new Windows Live ID is created with the same email
    address, it is not in return linked back to the Xbox LIVE gamertag. This makes it impossible to recover the gamertag or do anything with the gamertag that would require the Windows Live ID, including switching it to a new Windows Live ID.

    For me personally, this problem is bad because I had assets in my Xbox LIVE gamertag that I can't get to now, but they're clearly visible when viewing my account from another account, so it's still there.

    Using Live Messenger integration on the Xbox 360 console (even if you have no friends set up) will force the Windows Live ID (WLID) sign-in to remain active.

    Using the WLID on a website (such as xbox.com, billing.microsoft.com) will also reset the expire timer

    Only signing into Xbox Live itself on the console doesn’t reset the WLID timer; it’s the second login of Messenger that is counted.

    If you are in the situation where the WLID has expired:

    1) Do not perform an Account Recovery – No matter what level of troubleshooting is ever asked of you, by anyone, as doing this will strip access to the Xbox Live account because the Windows Live ID checks will fail.

    2) Do not attempt to switch Windows Live IDs through the console – This will also fail with weird error messages

    3) Do not re-create the Windows Live ID – Even though it will have the same member name (email address), it is NOT the same Windows Live ID, and Xbox Live will become even more confused, potentially breaking any account related to the new Windows Live ID
    that has the same name as the one that is expired.

    Did you just add gamepass to your account? Try removing the account from the console and then re adding it. Then see if the account recognizes the subscription.

    Try removing the account from the console, doing a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on, and then re-adding the account.

    same here, the data and everything already had created an account, so when the game first launched, it was saying cant connect so many times after ppl pressed A to get in, it screwed up the data associated, texture popping, frame rates, vehicle sounds, so
    much has screwed up cause this fatal problem Microsoft didn't think woukd happen, when servers couldn't handle all the ppl creating an account through there xbox 1 within the same minute, it completely bugged up characters, right away, if we don't have game
    save data available in my games and apps section just for problems like this, rand we have zero access to seeing wether or not files get corrupted from deactivation if gold/ or adding grays to different consoles then Xbox is already seeing there end when it
    comes to gaming, my account has had problems since like I fallout4 released, prolly way b4 that, ive tried literally everything, tried Insider Hub removal thousand times, removed gold several times, play games entirely offline, still same b.s. bugs, glitches,
    piss poor performance frame rates. This hasn't been fixed since Destiny 1, since Psn and xbox were shutdown by attackers. Ive tried 7 routers, 5 xb1 consoles already, non updated controllers somehow work better then updated one's, HOW DA **** does that even
    make sense Microsoft, why do controllers have firmware for consoles, its obvious they added that in do they can have alternate wats to prevent ppl from using microphones in game, its obvious the take the ladder instead of pursue what customers want/need. Ive
    so had it with this insecure myultiplayer, you really don't know the half of it.
