xbox gamertag wont change

i changed my gamertag like 2 years ago or something like that i didnt worry too much about it because i sold my xbox but now i am using my microsoft account again and it still says my old name. i have gone to change it again and it is saying my current name is ঌDuckঌ which is what its meant to be but my profile is still showing Astro Toast0 could it be the weird characters in my new name?

Are you trying to change it to the gamertag you had before, because if you are you wont be able to change it as your old one will still be on xbox live as a live gamertag.

OP, change your gamertag to "TrojanMan" and you wont have to worry about the xbox catching a virus.

Yes. Since not all games support the new gamertag system (which includes those characters), those games will show your old gamertag.

You Need To Update Your Billing Information or Go To System Settings Go To Your HardDrive Your Using And Click X And Clear System Clache or Delete Profile Only And Try Redownload It also you might need to go sign in on xbox.com And Change It to U.S and itll
work .
