    Xbox gamertag unavailable


    So Im trying to change my gamertag but it says unavailable. Yet when I do a search it says its unregistered? Ive contacted support multiple times and gotten 3 different answers from 4 different people. Ive gotten helpful suggestions like "just use a different
    gamertag" and "I dont know. Try adding a number" and "try again in 24 hours. It should work then." from what I can tell the people I have spoken to dont have access to see why its showing as unregistered yet unavailable which I understand. But Ive gotten no
    real straight answer on it and I want to know why I cant use it if its unregistered. Is there any way even remotely possible that someone with more authority could unlock the gt or at the very least tell me why its unavailable? Ive been put through the loop
    of customer service multiple times and I just want to get a straight answer from someone who can actually help. Please. Its driving me insane.

    Xbox gamertag not available

    Whenever the Xbox Live service says that the Gamertag is unavailable then there is no way to get that gamertag, since it's already in use.

    Gamertags are used on other services so just because it isn't being used on xbox live does not mean it isn't in use.

    If it says it's unavailable then it's unavailable.

    If a gamertag does not log in for 5 years then it is freed up.

    Being on xbox live for a certain amount of years does not mean you are entitled to a certain gamertag you want.

    Unavailable- Not available, accessible, or at hand.

    In other words, if the gamertag is unavailable, it is, as a matter of fact, not available.

    Yeah,gamertags are used on other services,not just xbox live.If it says that tag is taken then it's unavailable,there's no way to get that gamertag
