Xbox gamertag help

I have been on xbox for a long time, and the name I chose a few years ago just does not seem good anymore. I went to try and change it, but I had to pay 10 dollars! First of all that is a lot of money, and second, there was no warning or explanation that
I could not change later, so I had no idea. What can I do?

The first change after a set time was free and then for on it is ten dollars, It is as simple as paying for a change.

Sorry but that is the price set for it and hope you arrange some way, to save up to pay since it is expensive for yourself.

When you first choose your name it does warn you that subsequent changes you will be charged for.

The enforcement team does not look at these forums. If a GT is already taken, regardless of the fact of inactivity, it cannot be chosen by another player. MS has released old tags in the past but they do not alert players when or what tags are released.

No, there's no appeals/on-demand system.

I heard old GTs are being re-added. When will "This GT" be available?

There is no schedule or estimated dates for when certain GTs will become available again. GTs are not an on-demand service. They will be available when they are available.
