    Xbox gamertag (gt) force change misunderstanding


    Hello Microsoft representative,

    On 10/17/2014 I decided to change my gt “DefyneStatutory” to “BERZERKBeerus” Xbox then stated that “DefyneStatutory” violated terms of use and force changed my newly paid for gt of “BERZERKBeerus” to “”. I do not wish to keep the force changed
    gt rather the gt that I paid for. After speaking with Xbox Technical Support I was referred here.

    Gamertag issue...

    Call the Xbox Support number, IF your gamertag has personal identifiable info in it they will put a force GT change on the account

    Also going through the same problem. Been through the forums, three support chats, a Twitter exchange, and a phone call. Not one of them can give me a consistent reason for why my gamertag was forcibly changed. Xbox's support is a joke.

    An email would of been sent to the address linked to your account explaining what part of the code of conduct your previous gamertag violated or you can post in the forum i linked above.
