Xbox Gamertag Changed without notice and now they are forcing me to pay $9.99 to change it ...

Today, I turned on my xbox to find that my gamertag of 2 years had been changed to a gamertag that is very demeaning and has inficted emotional damage upon myself. Xbox changed my gamertag without any notice to myself after having my perfectly fine Gamertag
for many months. They changed my gamertag to SweetFawn with a bunch of numbers after it. Upon using the xbox customer support chat option, I was explained that my gamertag was forcibly changed because someone had reported it as offensive. So, xbox changed
my gamertag without notifying me to SweetFawn. But this is not the worst of it. Now, in order to change my xbox gamertag, they are requiring me to pay a mandatory fee of $9.99!!! How outrageous and unfair! They change my gamertag without notifying me and are
forcing me to pay a fee of $9.99!! This has caused much emotional and painful trauma to me as the gamertag change has affected me in many negative ways. I come to this forums page to post my ever growing desire to change my gamertag back to the original. If
there is anyone out there who can help me it would be much appreciated. For the time being, I am done with xbox and have decided to take this to case to my local small claims court as this is clearly a money scam and if unfair which is a direct violation of
my rights. The xbox employee that I had the online chat with agreed with me and said that posting to this forum is my only hope. Please someone help me change my gamertag back so I can end this unfairness that is ruining each day for me.

Xbox Live Gamertag Changed

Hello,

My Xbox Live gamertag was recently force changed to a new name that I did not get to choose. In order to change my name again, I'm required to pay $9.99. Considering that my name was changed against my will and without warning, the 9.99 fee feels quite unfair.
I'm hoping for any Xbox Live support to review my case and allow me to change my name again now that it has been reset.

Whatever your gamertag was, some people deemed it to be inappropriate, reported it, and Enforcement must have checked it over to see if it actually violated the
Code of Conduct.

When a gamertag violates the Code of Conduct, it will be given a forced change to a new, randomized gamertag. This is a term under "Consequences" in the Code of Conduct you've agreed to since account signup.

If you want to change it to something else, you'll need to pay the gamertag change fee everyone else has to pay (regardless of Enforcement action). It is by no means "mandatory".

The Xbox Enforcement staff do not post here, so any matters related to their actions are not dealt with here. Instead, you will need to log on to
http://enforcement.xbox.com to check your Enforcement record, and submit a case review as your appeal (if eligible).
