Xbox Gamertag changed randomly

Discus and support Xbox Gamertag changed randomly in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; My gamertag was "GoofyHoe" but it recently got changed to for no reason.     Xbox Gamertag changed randomly


    My gamertag was "GoofyHoe" but it recently got changed to for no reason. I realize GoofyHoe might have been mildly offensive, but now I can't change it back and Im stuck paying money for a terrible gamertag, if I could get a chance to change
    it to something I like, that would be great, if not I will invest money elsewhere, thanks.

    With all due respect, what are you talking about? My account is not suspended, Xbox randomly changed my gamertag which was very special to me!

    Hello,

    This "free" gamertag change is only available if you made your gamertag on either XBOX.com or on the XBOX 360 console itself and received a randomly generated gamertag (Example: FuglyDuckling10 - randomly generated gamertag). This "free" gamertag change is
    only available within the first 30 days of the account being created, otherwise you would be charged 800 Microsoft Points for the gamertag change.

    So since you have already changed your gamertag and it is not a randomly generated gamertag you would have to pay the 800 Microsoft Points fee just like everyone else.

    That is a forced gtag change decided by XBLPET because your old gtag obviously breaches the rules of the Code of Conduct. After a forced gtag change if you want to change the gtag again you have to pay a fee.

    You can try submitting a case review at
    http://enforcement.xbox.com     but any gamertags that violate the code of conduct (it doesn't necessarily have to be offensive) are given a randomly generated tag and you will have to pay to change it to something else. That is per the code of conduct you
    agreed to.

    EchoxWindwaker doesn't sound like one of the randomly generated ones.

    Newer accounts allow you to put in a gamertag to begin with, but don't grant the name change. Older accounts, with a randomly generated gamertag, get a free name change.

    The free gamertag change is only given if you were given a randomly generated tag when you created your account and are changing that tag for the first time. Since the gamertag you have is not a randomly generated tag, you would need to pay if you want to
    change it.
