XBOX gamertag broken.

Hello.

My problem started 3 weeks ago when i wanted to change my xbox gamertag. After I had changed it, I noticed i had the 4 numbers that are the ones after the # that you use to add people. And they were in the username. I thought that it just was a glitch and that it would fix, but now its been around 3 weeks and its still like that. I would want my username without the numbers.

If the gamertag is the one you listed "JoviTheDuck", then, according to the Gamertag change site, it's not in use...i just checked and it doesn't show any numbers after it if I wanted to change it to that

The numbers will show as part of the gamertag in areas that don't work with the new system. In order to remove the numbers, you would need to change your tag to one that no one else has and doesn't have any special characters.

thank you but how do i know if someone has the gamertag? Beacuse last time when i changed it did not say that.

Spaces and capitalization don't matter when trying to get a GT. So just because "Mr Fibble" isn't used doesn't mean it's available. For example: "Mr Fibble" = "MrFibble" = "MrFiBbLe"

Tried to find it on Zune or GFWL? If it's in use on one of them you can't use it on XBL.
