Xbox Gamepass Purchase Problem

I have already posted this question and received an answer, but I feel like this problem shouldn't even exist. So, when I try to purchase Xbox Gamepass PC for $1, it says "How will you pay the rest?" I have 2.74 in my Microsoft Account. Someone told me
that I needed to have enough funds to cover the regular $4.99 as well, even if I'm not planning to continue paying. This problem is annoying me and I was wondering if there was another solution.

Yes, it's most likely because after you get the first month they want to make sure that you have enough funds to pay for the next month, but I am pretty sure you can turn off the recurring payment option so that it won't charge you for the next month.

I'm afraid not, Ethan. A credit or debit card will be required for any of the subscriptions services not bought as a redeemable code.

Thanks for reaching out tot the forums. The reason you need the total is the 1$ is a promotional price. The standards have been implemented to cover the cost of the subscription normally. Also, if you already got the promotion or currently have the subscription.
It will charge you the 4.99 instead of the 1$. the 1$ is for new sign ups.

You can try unchecking the auto renew it may then only take the 1$.

Are you trying to purchase the current promotion for Xbox GamePass Ultimate?

If so, the current promotion is only for new members/subscribers to GamePass Ultimate. If you had GamePass Ultimate before you will not be able to purchase it.
