    When I am attempting to install a game onto my E drive instead of my C drive, I get the following message: This location is not set up for installing games. I then click: Set it as your location for where where new apps are saved. And this takes me to
    my PC's settings. In settings, I try to switch where new apps will save to from the C drive to the E drive. I get the following message: Delete other apps? This drive has apps from another device. To use this drive, the other apps must first be deleted. Do
    you want to continue? I select yes and get the following message: We couldn't set your default save location. The operation did not complete successfully. Try again in a bit. The error code is 0x800870005, in case you need it. I'm not sure where to go from
    here, this has been happening for a few days now and it doesn't matter which game I try to download.

    Hi, sorry for that issue, the problem is the external hard drive, for some reason (I don't know why), the games that require Administrator approval have issue on external drive.
    Thanks for the answer. External hard drive it is not the problem in my case. While trying to find a solution to this Xbox Game pass for PC / Windows Store error I did reinstall Windows 10 on my iMac's internal hard drive. The problem with error 0x8007001f
    persists even when Windows 10 is installed on the internal hard drive.

    The 0x80070005 error is related to access permissions in Windows.

    Are you logged into an Adminstrator account?

    Also, are you trying to download your games on Xbox App? Can you try to download them on Microsoft Store to see if it works there?

    Also, are you trying to download them on a fixed hard drive or an external hard drive? If you have 2 hard drivers (or one external hard drive, or even 2 partitions on the same hard drive), try to change the download/install location. I can give you a step by step for that if you have 2 partitions or one external HD.

If you are trying to download it onto the internal drive then try doing it on an external drive. I'm sorry if you don't have one.
