    Xbox Gamepass download location.


    I bought gamepass yesterday for PC and I want to change from my C drive which is too full to download anything, to my E drive which is empty. I've tried the top forums and nothing help I need a fix please. The weird thing is that I was able to download Sea of Thieves (90gbs) to E drive. but when I try downloading lego starwars (32 gbs) it wont let me download to E drive. I didn't even have to select a file or anything.

    This doesn't help, with all games i try to download I have to option to download to E drive but when I click on any file inside there it doesn't change the install location it says try a different file

    Hello Trinton Schob,

    Thank you for your response. As I mentioned that even though you have an option to choose which drive you would like to install the game, for some cases the developer may design it to be installed to a specific location maybe the reason why its not letting you download on another drive.

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    We would also like to inform you that Microsoft has given the option to save/install any apps/games on a different drive, but it is on the developer of the game/app on how they design it. Whether they design it specifically for C drive where the OS is installed or any other drive irrespective of the location of the Operating system (OS).

    You may still try to follow the steps below and see if the troubleshooting will help.

    Please try these steps and check:

    • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
    • Select System. Click on Storage.
    • Click on the link "Change where new content is saved."
    • Under "New apps will save to:" change the drop down option to your desired location.

    Well there is a problem.So you need to be signed into the gamepass and xbox store with your account

    But this can only be on one pc since you can only be signed in one location at a time

    Gameshare doesn't apply to pc

    But he can play any game you download from hos profile

    But you must be signed in on the xbox app or gamepass app
