    Xbox gamepass changing standard location not working


    Hi guys, I just found out that the selection for the storage of the game is not working properly. By standard it is set to C drive, I changed that to my E drive, but it seems like it didn't work. I downloaded some games and they are still stored in the C drive which should actually not happen right ? By the way why can't I see where exactly the games are stored. Would be helpful if we could see the whole path.

    I have changed my windows store download location to my E drive aswell. I can't seem to move my games from C to E because the file system is exFAT on my E drive and NTSF on my C drive.

    I also have searched the whole internet and couldn't find anything helpfull at all.

    Hello, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

    Programs and apps downloaded from the Microsoft Store are installed in the following path by default: C:/Program Files/WindowsApps (Hidden items).

    The folders are heavily encrypted so there's no way to access the files nor move them.

    Also some games will only download and launch from the C drive.

    It happens to every single game that I select my E drive and it still downloads on my C drive. I want to download and install Forza Horizon 5 on my E drive because I have 5TB of storage on it and 1TB on my C drive which is almost full.

    Could this be caused because my E drive is exFAT which doesn't allow me to get into the WindowsApps folder? On my C drive I gave myself acces to the WindowsApps folder and all the folders under it. On my E drive it doesn't seem to work. The only thing I could find is that it is caused by exFAT.

    Alright then! I might have to format my exFAT drive to NFTS and see if that works. It sucks I can't get into the WindowsApps folder because of exFAT though. Thanks for helping me!

    Not seeing the 24 months Gamepass I claimed with my Xbox Series S
