My drive is broken,game data remain on the console.

Do you still have an Xbox live gold subscription?

To continue to have the license to play the Xbox One games It is required to keep a gold subscription active on the account. And NO sharing a gold subscription with another profile does not work.

The 360 games are not affected by the gold subscription requirement.

Once you renew the gold subscription you will gain access back to the licenses for the Xbox One Games with Gold.

Did you try to clear your Xbox One cache ? Push the xbox button of your console 10 seconds until the reboot.

Is this on a Xbox one or Xbox 360?

When the screen goes black is there an error or message received?

Does this happen to all games? (Disk/Digital)

Do a Power Cicle on your Xbox, press and hold Power Button for 10 seconds and wait 2 minutes then turn Xbox on again

 

I find that when I have games doing this a hard reset of the console fixes the problem for me. You can do that by holding down the power button on the console until it resets.

If it's never actually launching the game and it goes back to the home screen every time, then I would say that your best bet is to refer to our support page for game freezing and games not launching.

Can anyone tell me why none of my games will launch? I can sign in to my account, but say sorry service isn't working right now and check xbox service status Xbox status says gaming is working but mine isnt. Any help?
