    XBOX Game Video DVR

Since the last update, the game recording function has become unreliable. I am recording to an external drive. When I try and capture a game moment from the DVR menu, it doesn't always work, nothing gets recorded. The only reliable method is to start a
    recording before playing.

    :)

Sorry but you cannot record live TV from the Xbox One using DVR. You can only use the DVR to record Xbox One video games.

Hi there Dratsablive, thanks for reaching out.

Are you enrolled in the Insider Preview program? Also, does this issue you're experiencing occur with clips of any duration and are you only seeing it happen when your external is selected as the default location for these clips
to be saved to? Does this happen with clips featuring gameplay from any game or just one particular game?

When on your Xbox One console when you go to Settings>Preferences>Broadcast & capture, do you have Broadcast set to "Allow broadcasts and game captures"? Also, you can alter your capture location via that settings menu?

I am on the insider preview program. This happens with any length of video selected whether or not an external drive is selected. The only capture that works if I select "Up to One Hour" at the beginning, then ending the recording after any length of time.

So I got another update this morning, 03/22/2018, and the problem persists. I can record 1,2,3 minute clips, but the 5 minute clip fails.

  7. Thanks for the update on that. To check, what error message are you specifically seeing when the five-minute clip fails?

Also, let's have you try a soft factory reset of your Xbox One console selecting the option to keep your games and content to avoid having to download them again. Any changes with this experience after
    that?

Just did the soft reset, now the record options are only 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 45 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minute. The 3 minute and 5 minute options are gone. I am still having the same issue. I get no error when the record fails to capture.

  9. Thanks for trying that Dratsablive. That's definitely odd that's occurring. Because you're enrolled in the Insider Preview program, please report this issue via the Insider Hub app on your Xbox One console and also, please create a post on the

    Insider Preview forums
so the Preview team can take a closer look into this specific experience you're having.

Well it looks like the last updates fixed the issue, I no longer have a problem saving clips on the fly.

How do I transfer clips and screenshots from Xbox Network to OneDrive?

for my xbox videos. in onedrive-videos there is a folder called Xbox Game DVR. that's where mine are showing
  12. DerVaddi Win User

    Shared files from Xboxone

you can find it in onedrive under: images(pictures) and then xbox screenshots and videos under videos and then xbox game dvr.

    Upload studio help

Go to Skydrive and sign in with the gamer tag's email/password.

Then click on Pictures and then Xbox Game DVR to find the videos.

For some reason the Xbox One uploads upload studio videos under your "Pictures" and then "Xbox Game DVR" folder. It would make MUCH more sense to have it under videos, but that is where the uploads are stored.

edit xbox clips on xbox app on pc and upload it

    Hi Rastigan,

The only videos that are eligible for upload is if they have been recorded using the Game DVR, if a video is taken from Game DVR and edited externally, the Xbox App will recognize the file as external and not allow it to be uploaded.

I hope this information helps, thanks.
