    Hi, I am really confused on network transfer because I own a disc game that I bought for my Xbox one but then when I go on to my Xbox series s that a transferred it to, it says I need to own Xbox game pass or buy the game even tho I already own it. I

    would like to understand how to get it to work. What should I do?

    Like mentioned the transfer tool is a online functionality, and does not require the use of a disc drive.

    The transfer cable is not necessary for the license transfer, but it's a tool to transfer data from one consoles hard drive to another:

    License Transferring does what the name says, it transfers the licenses of games to a different console. Transferring 360 games will not work with Xbox One's BC, it will only work with the account that they was purchased with.
