It's Game Pass for Console, Dma which is a subscription that will give you access to hundreds of games on the game pass library. To play online, you'll need an Xbox Live Gold subscription, it's a different subscription, Dma.

It's either you'll need an Xbox game pass ultimate which includes Xbox Live Gold or just the individual Xbox Live Gold subscription.

I'm afraid it is not possible to play online without either of these 2 subscriptions: Xbox Game Pass Core or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate unless there is an account with an active subscription that is game sharing/set as home Xbox on your console.

Based on your description, an account with an Xbox Game Pass subscription is set as home Xbox (subscription sharing) on your console however you are still unable to play online, is that correct?

If yes, this could mean that the account with the subscription that is set as home Xbox might have its subscription expired already or that the active subscription is neither Core nor Ultimate.

No, you won't be able to access the game unless you renew the subscription or buy the game.

yest that should be possible. A game pass subscription and a gold subscription should work along side each other.

Be sure to check if upgrading to Ultimate could be a better option (money wise).
