Xbox Game Streaming Cellular Data Issues

You should contact your service provider about this problem, if it’s not working, they may be blocking Xbox live services, specifically streaming on cellular due to the large amounts of bandwidth. They may also throttle you passed a certain level of data usage which might put you under the requirements of streaming

Sorry for the issue with updating. There in lies the issue with using cellular data to update any game or PC. With cellular data the connection basically goes off the phone and in most cases isn't as reliable as a regular internet connection. If the update
messes up at all during the download ( for example cellular stops for a brief second, disconnects) the download will be corrupt and need to be re-downloaded. Can you connect to a regular internet connection to do the updates? Reason we ask is a lot of updates
can be quite large which will use up your data pretty quick.

Yes, I play on a PC using cellular data and then I network it with a hotspot to my computer, is there a setting that can solve this problem in my cellular data?

Notice it says wifi, not cellular data. If you wont to allow it on cellular, you can change that in the settings.

I too have Verizon wireless for cellular, iphone 14 pro max running ios 16.1.2, the xbox app is up to date and my xbox is a wired connection with 200 mbs.



Cannot connect over cellular. Wi-Fi works. Cellular, no.. I’ve been streaming Xbox since the program was in beta.. never have had issues until a couple months ago. Problems just not getting resolved by Microsoft.

When the console is off and you try cloud gaming from your phone on cellular the console boots up and acts like it’s going to connect but then an error message pops on your phone.
