Xbox game sharing to pc play now

My friend I'm gaming sharing with has recently purchased astroneer on their Xbox. I was playing on Xbox till the fps dropped drastically. I was wondering if it was possible to get the game on Microsoft store for free and play with them.

sharing accounts to play games for free is against the terms and can get you both banned, the utility is there for use in the same household or if you change the console.

we are in the same house. the person lives with me. I just don't want to play on xbox

then that should be ok, your account will have to become part of his family account, once done do the following.

open the store on the pc, sign out of the store, get him to sign in and go to download history and download the game, then just sign back into the store like normal.

No it doesn't work like that. Only the Xbox home setting shares games to a console you want to share to. There is nothing else that will let you share games. Yeah, you will have to purchase the game either on PC or Xbox to play the game on PC.

It would be nice if Game sharing was available on PC, but sadly it's just for Console. Now if it's a play anywhere title with Cross-platform play you can log into the PC on your account and they can log into your Home Xbox with their account and you can
play that way.
