Xbox Game Sharing Online Gameplay Issues

Microsoft themselves do not say that this isn't allowed, you would be hard pressed to find any documentation/post from Microsoft or the XBOX team to the contrary of this. The limitations that they put on this is enough to ensure that this doesn't become
a problem. They even allow you to share your Gold Live with friends and family.

As per the OP, the issue is NAT related. Strict NAT will cause the disconnection. Both players should have Open or Moderate NAT Types. If one of the two (or both parties) have Strict, then the disconnection occurs.

How is the limitation for Xbox game sharing (Make my home xbox) checked?

1. Is the restriction placed on the amount of consoles you can connect to in a year?
2. Is the restriction placed on the amount of times you are setting another xbox using "Make my home xbox" even if its only 1 console you are setting as "Make my home xbox" x5 times?

I have set my Xbox as my home Xbox on 2 consoles thus far :

1. First time was some time back when testing with a friend and everything worked as expected i.e. Friends console could access my game library, membership was shared and we could play games such as FIFA online together. Shortly after I removed it and set
   my personal xbox as my home xbox using "Make my home xbox" feature.
2. Second time was last week when I set a family console as my home xbox using the "Make my home xbox" feature and just like point 1 everything worked as expected. Family console could access my game library, membership was shared and we could play online
   together.
3. Last night when I was testing game sharing on the same family console mentioned in point 2, I noticed that I could not open apps such as Netflix, YouTube (clicking on the LOGO but no result). I removed the xbox as my home xbox from the family console using
   "Remove my home xbox" feature and the apps could immediately open.
4. I then set the family console as my home xbox again using "Make my home xbox" feature and the apps were still opening fine. When trying to play FIFA online together (family console + personal console) we both kept on getting disconnected before the match
   even started. I tried changing the profile on the family console and turning on and off the "Make my home xbox" setting but to no avail.
   
5. Tried it with a different online game this morning and the issue still persists.
   

Note : I have not received any notification that I have exceeded my max amount of switches so I am not sure what the issue could be. Have checked almost everything I can think of.

it is for home use only so your main console can be used by other family memebers living with you and so you can play your games if your net goes out.

your can log in anywhere else with your account and still use your games and features.

It is not meant to be used to gameshare with other people outside of the home.

The reason you get 5 switches which is ample, is that if your xbox breaks and is replaced you can then make that your home console or if you upgrade or replace your xbox.

Screen share is a Xbox app that allows you to save record and share clips of gameplay. But Mixer is a current livestream service so people can watch your real time gameplay.
