Xbox Game Share - Unable to co-op

I have been having an issue with playing games cooperatively with my friend that I game share with. I contacted both Microsoft Support as well as two different game developers and they both blamed the other. Whenever we try to play one of the games together,
it does not work.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a few of the games that I purchased, but am unable to play co-op mode with the person I game share with:

- Darksiders Genesis

- Borderlands 3

- Torchlight 2

If the reason is only for the games you mentioned, you should try another game to know where the problem is!

Not true at all. I have several friends game sharing with other friends who live in different states. It's definitely not restricted to the same network.

Do you mean that you gave him your account in which the game is located?

So you set his console as your home and he then set his as yours? technically do-able but the home console feature is not setup as a game share service.

Are you by any chance signed in on his console? Has he changed his password?

Are you and your friend both living in the same household because gameshare only allowed in the same household on the same network.
