Xbox Game Share stopped working and I need help.

When you say switches, do you mean changing the Home Xbox? If so, 5 is the limit in a year. Your Xbox would have to be set as your friend's "Home Xbox", meaning the main one and yours would then be able to play games they own. Did you by chance set your
Xbox back as your main Xbox, or did your friend change their's back to their main one? This is what it sounds like might be happening in this case.

My friend claims he hasn't done anything to the home xbox and neither did I. I do have three more switches on my account but my friend already used his 5 this year.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue with home console switches. You can look at the guide for home console,
it explains how you may qualify for one last switch. If you do not qualify you will have to wait until the dates hown.

Note Customer support cannot offer additional switches. If your console shows you’ve made five home Xbox switches for the year and you need assistance, select Help when
you see the message, Can’t make this your home Xbox. You may be eligible to receive an exception.

He must be switching with someone since he has used up his 5 switches in 12 months.

Is it correct that when im signed out, my son cannot download any games from game pass?

As it says join game pass and join live etc on his account. But, up to now, the already downloaded game pass games load up and he can play online.
