Xbox (game ratings)

Is there seems to be a slight vulnerability in the game rating system between the xbox console generation ro the series s/x the rating system is a bit unfair for the developer and future players of the game

For example this new game enlisted has been released only for Xbox series s / x yet xbox one users can still rate the game tanking the ratings to almost 2 stars and the game has barely been out 2 months

For example you have someone that has actually played the game giving a valid review then the people that haven't played are saying things like " everyone rate this game 1 star into the developers put it on Xbox One" or someone as simple as "trash" and giving it one star and making the game look bad and the developer look bad

Possible ideas for fixes

•Make it to where previous generation console players cannot rate the game

•make it say something like " verified" meaning that they have actually installed the game previously

The age rating on a game only covers the single player if there is one.Anyone can play an 18 rated game,you just can't buy it if you are under that age.

Xbox live is rated "E" for everyone,no matter what the age rating on the game is.

Remember xbox live is rate E for everyone. This rating apply even when your play games of different rating levels since there are different people playing the games

The Microsoft Store only lets you rate games/apps that you own, but it might be possible to buy a game, rate it, and then get a refund.

In my opinion, this should not only be possible but actually a good thing. Imagine you buy a game (or app) that is an absolute disaster. You'd probably want to warn other people looking at it in the store to avoid it by giving it a bad rating and writing a negative review, but you'd also want to get your money back, yes?

You do raise a good point for indie games that are likely to get less ratings, and where a negative rating will affect the game's overall rating, but I don't see how you can stop people that did buy the game from giving it whatever rating they want.

Or, you know, Microsoft could remove the ratings altogether. There's plenty of places where one can get information/reviews/hints/tips/watch plays to make one's mind up about a game that reducing a game to an extremely basic 5-star system is not necessary.

You assume this actually isn't true aa proven with theblast of us 2 through is a bad game still other players keep it rating high

Remember everyone has different tastes and will not always matchbox taste even if the bug stops the game halfway thru and they don't issue ab refund
