    Rightio with the new consoles right around the corner I’m starting to reconsider sticking with Xbox as I have been with my entire life.

    Despite upgrading my internet to NBN100 and getting at least 70mbps speed tests wireless or wired through the Xbox network speed tests, any game that updates literally updates between 1mbps and 5mbps.

    I understand with COVID-19 the ISP’s are feeling the load but this has been going on for approx. 6-12 months and in that time frame I’ve been with multiple ISP’s. Nearly all my mates with Xbox One’s have had the same issues and with games like Call of Duty
    where an update ranges from 30gb to 100gb, it’s pretty poor to only be getting 1-5mbps and be blaming ISP’s.

    If the new console is going to be a success Microsoft better pull their heads out and fix these issues because I won’t fork out $700+ for a new console just to wait 3 days to play my first game on it.

    What i would look at is the DNS setup that you have on your xbox, as well to make sure you are on Cable and not Wifi

    Although the Google DNS servers are generally fast, they are also really busy.

    What i would recommend is using a combination of DNS (1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8) on your console.

    Yes, the speed is absolutely hindering the online play. When streaming live to Mixer we are experiencing poor resolution and blackouts due to slow upload speeds on the Xbox.
