Xbox Game Play Save Screen

I just got the same on Xbox, when loading Ori is floating on a grey screen, and then the game crashes. Gets me back to the Xbox home screen.

What happened just before, was I was running quicker than the screen could be displayed. When Ori reappeared on screen, it was stuck between walls, and the auto save kicked in. Since then grey screen when loading the save, and this is after 16 hours of game
play trying to complete it.

A bit frustrated, tried the last 2 backup saves. But still the same. Will try a third one later.

You look at your save game and it will tell you how many hrs played on that character. Just save the game, then go back to the save/load screen and look at that save. The time will be in the save description.

i found this that apprarntly is telltale games explaning the black screen but isnt the issue im having as i know im not skipping any episodes or anything

A small number of users have reported that they reach a permanent black screen while attempting to load their save or rewind to a previous episode. We have investigated this issue and determined that it can occur when trying to play an episode that does
not have any existing save data, but the episodes before and after it do. For example, If after playing through episode 3, a player skips to episode 5, plays to a save point, and then tries to start a game in episode 4 by pressing the Play button on the Episode
4 play screen , they will encounter a black screen.

To recover from this issue, locate an episode with save data and use the Rewind Menu to select a save point to load. The checkpoint should load and the next time the game saves, the black screen should no longer occur. Using the above example, there is no
Episode 4 save progress, and by rewinding into Episode 4 all progress in Episode 5 is lost. So the last Episode with existing save data is Episode 3.

Did you play the game on a real Xbox 360 before you transferred it, or did you play it on the Xbox One already?

If it was played on the Xbox One, start Mass Effect 1 again, make a proper save, if necessary, do the transfer again, and then after the game has saved, go to the Xbox One Start screen.

Press the Menu button on the Main Game tile with Mass Effect and choose "Quit".

Since Xbox 360 games don't have the concept of being suspended like real Xbox One games, the game "thinks" it's still running, and won't finish the save and upload.

You need to quit out of the game to have it properly saved on the Xbox One.

My XBox One is always connected to the internet. My Borderlands 2 game will not save properly. I make sure to save the game, go back to the First screen of the game, then go to the XBox One Home page, with the game as the largest tile, I select Menu, then
Quit. I remain connected but my game does not save to the Cloud. Until this is fixed, I'm going back to playing Borderlands 2 on my XBox 360. At least there, I know I'll have my saved game.
