    Xbox Game Pass With Pre Order


    So just recently went to the xbox store home page to see what was new. And at the top i saw that if you pre order Mortal Kombat 11 you would get one month of Xbox Game Pass and a dlc character for Mortal Kombat X (which i already have). I did not pre order
    the game today when i saw the info but i did pre order last month. So my question is that am i able to still gain access to that one month xbox game pass since i already pre ordered last month or do i have to pre order it today to get it? I ask because i am
    unable to find a way to access the game pass.

    Pre-orders are not eligible for MyVIP. For reference, game consumables, pre-orders, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP, as explained in our FAQ:

    What content on the Xbox Store is eligible for MyVIP?

    Most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes, movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar items. However,
    the purchase or redemption of pre-order games, in-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points or Xbox Gift Cards, do not qualify.

    If i'm not mistaken, you can pre-install the game if you're on Xbox and also if you have a pre-order without having to have a Game Pass subscription. However, I think you may need Game Pass Ultimate if you want to pre-install it on your PC and have early
    access.

    As stated in our FAQ:

    What content on the Xbox Store is eligible for MyVIP?

    Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles
    (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes, movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar items.
    In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

    So pre-orders will not qualify for MyVIP, regardless of how close the purchase is to the release date. There is currently an offer that awards certain pre-orders, Games on Demand, which requires the purchase of three eligible pre-order titles to complete.
    Since we only award via MyVIP or offers, this offer covers pre-order purchases, since those are not covered by MyVIP.

    As Murphs says, pre-orders can go to the Games on Demand offer, but that offer requires three eligible purchases to complete.
