Xbox game pass will not allow me to install on other drives. Possible promission issues.

I also tried lots of the above advice

In the end I unistalled gears then run game pass as admin. This then gave me the option to choose installation drive.

It seems it was trying to install to c: which didn't have enough room even though settings said d:

I have not had this issue with any other games (I think but they are possibly on c:?!)

Everything is up to date, issue remains the same. Game will not download, will not be cancelled, will not allow other games to be downloaded, and will not allow its folder to be deleted and the xbox app does not allow me to change the drive in which games are installed. Effectively gamepass is unusable because of this since I have can't download any games and currently have none installed.

Thanks for your response, I'd tried all the solutions mention before posting this with no luck.

I should've mentioned, I'm using multiple drives, the drives had xbox game pass games installed from my old computer on them.

Deleting the windowsapps folder, as well as the other windows folders that are created automatically when installing a new app/game. Seems to have allowed me to install games on my E drive, though my G drive still doesn't seem to able to install new games from the xbox app.

I might just have to format my G drive, though could you tell me what the process is if you're moving a drive, with game pass games installed, on to a new computer?

Earlier yesterday it randomly showed I was able to download it to my D: drive after I went to go eat dinner and come back, but still, almost every game doesn't allow me to use a drive to download them other than what seems like 4 games. My drives have enough space to download any game but for some reason, almost every game on the game pass won't allow me to install them on any of the drives.

No sorry, it's not possible. PC Game Pass games go into an encrypted folder and there is no way to change any of it's settings. You can move them between drives in Windows Settings, but that's about it.

What you're asking wouldn't be possible on a standard PC game install. Game Pass is the only download service I've experienced thus far that has these issues. Every other service allows games to run on what ever drive you like. I mean You can run Steam games
off a Micro SD card!
